August 30 - HARVEST OPEN HOUSE
Join us for a celebration of the 2008 harvest with music and fine wines. Bring a picnic, enjoy the music, take a tour of the winery and taste some grapes we use for our wines. For more information please give us a call at 540-456-8667.

SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Admission is $10 for adults UNLESS you bring 5 non-perishable food items (per person), in which case, admission is FREE! Kids 18 and under admitted free. In case of inclement weather, please call the winery (540-456-8400) or check our website for changes/cancellations. All shows start at 4pm and run until 8pm until further notice.

You are invited to join us at the winery for a great barbeque - North Carolina style. The menu will consist of the traditional dishes of BBQ Pork, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Ranchero Baked Beans, Fiesta Corn and Brownies with Cream. It will feature Virginia Vinegar Works own Carolina BBQ sauce (vinegar, mustard and butter), combined with the all you can eat menu.

    We have extended the hours for Blackberry Season. Wednesday - Saturday 9 - 5 pm; Sunday 1 -5 pm. Come and pick your own blackberries at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. 434-361-1266

    August 2 - BLACKBERRY HARVEST FESTIVAL
    Vast fields of blackberries; pick your own fresh berries or simply savor them in our specialty desserts and “True to the Fruit” blackberry wines. Family festivities include picnic foods, crafts, live music, and other activities. $10 admission includes logo glass and entertainment; Additional charges apply for blackberries; standard per quart price applies. Children receive free admission.

    September 27 RIBEYE ROUNDUP
    Come enjoy live Bluegrass music. steak grilled to perfection, and our Blue Heeler wine. Dinner served with farm fresh salad, baked potato and desserts. Wine bar featuring an assortment of "true to the fruit" wines and historical honey meads. $40 admission includes dinner, glass of wine, and live entertainment with Jason Ring. Limited seating.  Reservations required.

    October 4, 5 FALL FOLIAGE WINE & FOOD PAIRING
    Memorable mountain views abound.  Take in the scenery with a glass of "true to the fruit" wine, ever-popular pear sangria, or hot mulled wine while an relaxing under our outdoor covered pavilion. Enjoy wine and food pairings. No admission charge.

    September 27 - Octboer 7 - 6X6 -A FESTIVAL OF ONE-ACT PLAYS by Bob Blumenstein, Peter Coy, Joel Jones, Billy Aronson, Clinton A. Johnston & Doug Grissom
    6 one-act plays by playwrights from Charlottesville, Richmond & New York City, providing an evening of theater that runs the gamut from burning philosophical questions to issues of racism. Never frivolous, often biting social commentary is interspersed with 'normal' relationship issues, with plenty of opportunity for laughter throughout. The shared theme? A struggle for power as the protagonists jockey for the best position. $10

    July 7- August 3 - JOLD WORLD, NEW WORLD; SPAIN, FRANCE, ITALY AND THE AMERICAS - A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY
    Experience the old and the new worlds right here in Central Virginia as Wintergreen Performing Arts explores the music and culture of Spain, France, Italy and the Americas in a four-week "Journey of Discovery" from July 7 - August 3, 2008. The 2008 Wintergreen Summer Music Festival features more than 150 events, including nine orchestral performances, 17 chamber music performances, two plays (a total of 11 performances), an Italian film festival (13 showings), four jazz concerts, a piano marathon, a Bastille Day Celebration, two cabaret performances, a 5K walk/run race, three solo recitals, eight cooking classes, 28 seminars, four wine tastings, and much, much more.

    The 3rd Annual Blue Ridge Mountain Music Fest promises to be better than ever. This year Robin and Linda Williams and Their Fine Group return to Wintergreen with their unique blend of bluegrass, folk, old-time and acoustic country that truly merits the title of "American music." Also returning will be the Deer Creek Boys, winners of the 2007 bluegrass band competition at the Galax Old Fiddlers’ Convention. These boys just keep getting better! Rounding out the roster . . .
